Flatfox and aroov merge

Two teams become one, two products are combined into one

Until spring, they were still competitors: the aroov team from Bern and the Flatfox squad from Zurich. On the one hand, the Bernese newcomer with the vision of a wide-ranging tenant platform and on the other hand, the market leader with its own free marketplace and a technically mature and established solution for listing, communication and application processes. For the last four months already, the two teams have been working towards a common goal: combine the best of both worlds. This autumn, the time will come: Under the name Flatfox, the new product will not only offer all previous functions, but also all aroov functions - and even more. "We were already very satisfied as aroov customers - today, we are looking forward to the great and many add-ons Flatfox will bring," so Angela Guerriero, Head of Real Estate Management & Marketing Previs Vorsorge.

Since the end of June 2021, the merged company located in Bern and Zurich is called Flatfox AG. The new executive board counts members from both companies: Previous managing director of aroov, Matthias Frieden, becomes the new CEO. Flatfox co-founder and previous CEO Bernhard Mäder is now responsible for product development as CTO. Mattia Regi, Flatfox cofounder (CFO), Julia Bitschnau (CPO / formerly aroov) and Gregor Letonja (Chief Customer Success / formerly Flatfox) complete the board.

"When you take the best of two innovative products and combine them into one, customers benefit," says pleased CEO Matthias Frieden. And holds out the prospect: "We offer a nation-wide marketplace combined with a digital platform that makes the rental process more convenient and efficient for everyone - apartment seekers, tenants and real estate professionals."
