2 ½ Zimmer-Wohnung in Basel mieten

Hello!

I will be moving to Geneva for work, so am looking to sublet my fully furnished, cozy and centrally located apartment for a minimum of 3 months starting January 2026 (exact date flexible). After March 2026 there is the possibility to extend the sublet or, if interested, take over the lease to become the new tenant.

The apartment's location is super central in a side street between Claraplatz and Messeplatz, yet it is surprisingly quiet. In the vicinity you can find:

• Tram stations Clarastrasse and Messeplatz within in 3 minutes of walking (12 minutes to SBB train station)
• Supermarket (Coop) 3 minutes away by foot
• Small store with essential grocery and household items 1 minute by foot, Rheingasse shopping street (largest Migros in Basel, Manor warehouse and many other stores) within only 10 minutes of walking

The apartment itself lies on the second floor of the building, reachable by stairs or elevator. It has 2.5 rooms and is comprised of:

• Spacious, bright living room
• Open, fully stocked kitchen connected to the living room
• Large, fully furnished bedroom
• Bathroom with a bathtub
• Spacious balcony
• Two shared laundry rooms with washing machines (free of charge) can be found in the basement.

For the first three months, the place will be fully furnished and you will have access to all electronics, including a large smart TV, printer and countertop dishwasher. Internet is also included, as are utilities (see below).

The total rent for the first 3 months is 1'314 CHF, comprised as follows:

• Net rent: 1'070 CHF
• Furnishing surcharge: 160 CHF
• Internet: 29 CHF
• Utilities (monthly average based on this year’s utility bills): 55 CHF

In addition, you will have to provide a security deposit of 1 month's rent.

If you decide to extend or take over the lease, you would also be more than welcome to keep much of the furniture, with prices for individual pieces to be negotiated. While lease takeover is preferred, in case of extension the above components can be adjusted accordingly (for example internet & utilities in your name, no furnishing surcharge).
