We are a two-person flat share looking for a female student to take over my room (unfurnished) from 12 January 2026. After six wonderful years in this lovely flat, during which I (Nadine) have made many happy memories, I am leaving to start a new chapter in my life.
This three-room apartment is close to Milchbuck and Irchel Park. It is in a calm, cosy neighbourhood near Allenmoos with many grocery shops in Oerlikon, just a few minutes away, or in Guggach. It's the ideal combination of a peaceful retreat and the perfect starting point for exploring the city, as there are lots of trams and buses at Milchbuck going towards the university centre, Central, Zurich HB and Hardbrücke. The neighbours are also very friendly and there is a real family atmosphere, since the building was originally mostly occupied by the owners.
Emma is a kind, quick-witted, lively, sociable and interesting MSc student at UZH. She loves to cook and is always up for a talk about life's philosophies. Although we haven't lived together for very long, she certainly isn't the reason I'm leaving this flat. I'm gutted that our flat-sharing time will end so soon, but I can say that she is a great flatmate who enjoys having time to herself as much as enjoying a relaxed evening together.
Ideally, we are looking for a female student aged 24–28 who shares our left-wing political views and is queer-friendly. They should be equally social, up for a cosy movie night, a shared meal or a chat in the kitchen, but also respect each other's privacy – a good mix of both. Unfortunately, the whole building is due to be demolished (also the building next door is currently being built, so there is construction noise on weekdays from 7AM-5PM until about Spring 2026), so the room can only be rented until December 2026 – approximately one year. The rent is CHF 920 per month (excluding EWZ costs and SERAFE). The deposit would be CHF 865
